Whole Health Campaign National Health Reform Policy Papers
Since Thanksgiving 2008, the Whole Health Campaign has been working with the Obama Health Reform Transition Team and key Congressional staff to promote the inclusion of mental and addictive health in national health reform. As part of this work, the Campaign has produced eight policy papers to be used with Hill Staff around the core features of reform. These eight papers cover:
- Universal Health Insurance Coverage
- Payment Reform
- Financing of Reform
- Access to Care
- Service Integration
- Public Health and Wellness
- Workforce Needs
- Leadership Needs
We encourage ACMHA members to use these documents to familiarize themselves with key reform issues and to translate that knowledge into positive actions to promote reform.
The Whole Health Campaign has also produced three documents relative to "recommendations for including mental illness and substance use disorer prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and recovery in national health care reform."
- Reforming the Health Care Delivery System
- Benefit Design and the Delivery of Care
- Wellness Promotion and Chonic Disease Prevention Initiatives
